Consulting Services
I want to help your small business or nonprofit grow into the best version of itself. You’re already doing good for your community - let me help you expand.
Areas of Expertise
-
Where do you see yourself and your organization in 3 years? In 5 years?
I can help you articulate your goals, and translate what you’re passionate about into a story that gets others excited, and help organize your thoughts into a format that makes sense for your stakeholders. In particular, I can work with you to assess where you are now, narrow down both your short and long-term goals, and plan for unexpected adversity.

You know how to make a simple excel spreadsheet, but anything more complex than that makes you want to run for the hills. You didn’t go to school for this!?!
Luckily, I did. I can help you with a comprehensive budget review, and teach you enough spreadsheet skills so you can feel confident that you know how to maintain it going forward. I can also create forecasts that will allow you to see with the click of a button how your 5-year budget changes when you add a new employee, open a second location, or gain another source of funding.

Do your eyes glaze over when presented with hundreds of pages of legal text? I’ve had years of experience reading financial contracts, and can help you determine what the impact and risks are to your business. Some examples of legal documents I can help review are a new lease, a contract with a governmental agency, or an agreement with a subcontractor.

Initial Consultation
During our initial consultation, we’ll meet for half an hour to discuss your goals, the scope of your project, and get to know each other better. There’s no cost for this initial conversation, we’re just trying to see if we’ll be a good fit for each other!
-
Scope: Small to Medium
You can hire me for a small-scale consulting engagement for smaller-scope projects like a one-off document review, a refresh of your strategic plan, or a review of your annual budget. Typically this kind of project would have a time frame of one to four weeks.
-
Scope: Large
You’re looking to overhaul all of your policies, rethink your strategy for growth, or perhaps you’re writing your strategic plan for the first time. Larger-scale consulting engagements like this would consist of projects that need 4+ weeks because of the depth or scope.
FAQs

I’m happy to work with all budget sizes - reach out to schedule a half hour meeting and let’s see if we can make something work!
-
I realize spreadsheets can be daunting if you don’t use them often, but I would recommend finding an online tutorial or class for beginners, and then reaching out to me about a specific project you’d like help with.
-
Of course! So many of us are working from home all or most of the time post-pandemic, so a fully virtual project is not a problem.
-
The short answer: no, I won’t.
You aren’t a large corporation and you don’t need to be in order to meet your goals. What you can do is borrow my expertise in the corporate arena, and tailor for-profit practices to fit your organization and your unique culture.

Ultimately, I think I do my best job when I can guide you through whatever challenge you’re facing, but give you the tools so that you and your team can take on the next one that comes your way. While I love to coach and provide specialized expertise, you’re the expert at what you do and you should be proud of that! (I also have a day job that I love, and I don’t plan on giving that up any time soon!)
